Patience is powerful.  It pays great dividends in life.  Patience is not to be confused with passivity.  The passive have no vision, no goals and no energy.  The patient know that the power and promises of God are at work on their behalf and they cheerfully endure momentary challenges.

But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing. (James 1:4)

Patience:  cheerful endurance

But that on the good ground are they, which in an honest and good heart, having heard the word, keep it, and bring forth fruit with patience.  (Lu 8:15)

Fruit is brought forth with patience.  Patience is the constant determination to do the right thing knowing that spiritual forces are at work on your behalf.  The farmer is patient knowing that he has sown good seed, and a good crop WILL come up.  “Behold, the husbandman waits for the precious fruit of the earth, and has long patience for it.”  (James 5:7)

The patient are not shaken during adverse circumstances.  They are at peace, knowing that the Word is at work in their circumstances.  The patient will prevail.

That you do not become sluggish, but imitate those who through faith and patience inherit the promises. (Heb. 6:12)

When we mix faith with patience, we are unstoppable.  Our confident expectancy of good, of blessing, favor, divine appointments, open doors and health will win the day!  In fact, Paul refers to God as ‘the God of patience!’  Now may the God of patience and comfort grant you to be like-minded toward one another, according to Christ Jesus, (Rom. 15:5).

Patience is confident expectation in the goodness of God and the power of His Word, knowing that the power of the Spirit is at work on your behalf.

For ye have need of patience, that, after ye have done the will of God, ye might receive the promise.   (Heb 10:36)
